
Over 650 pieces of stećаk tombstones (ridged-shaped, plate, sarcophagus) were registered in the municipality of Foča. They are located in various locations in the area of Foča (Vrbnica, Čelebići, Ninkovići, Šadići, the area between Klek and Štirinsko jezero).
The necropolis with stećak tombstones Mramor (Crkvina), in Vrbica, is on the list of 28 medieval necropolises of stećak tombstones that were proclaimed World Cultural Heritage of UNESCO in 2016.
The necropolis is located in the hamlet of Vrbica, near the village Ćelebići, away from Foča about 20 kilometers of the airline in the direction of the southeast, at an altitude of 948 meters.
The majority of stećak tombstones are oriented east-west and a smaller number deviates along the northeast – southwest direction.
Of the 238 tombstones located in this place, 47 are chests, 116 plates, one plate with a stand and 74 fragments.
