
One of the most beautiful Balkan mountains, Zelengora, is located within the Sutjeska National Park, in the area of three municipalities: Gacko, Kalinovik and Foca. It belongs to the mountains of the Dinaric system. The Zelengora forests are hiding grassy plateaus, spacious planes and the seven glacier lakes, “the mountain eyes”: Orlovačko, Stirinsko, Kotlanicko, Donje and Gornje bare, Crno and Bijelo Lake. Borilovacko Lake is the only artificial lake on Zelengora.
Zelengora is a spacious plateau where many intertwined separate peaks rise, the highest is Bregoc (2,015 m).
